Yes, that is actually me. Rappelling down a 180ft waterfall in Puerto Rico. It. Was. Amazing.
About me
Hello! My name is Dana Verhelst.
I'm a South Florida native, lifelong athlete, creative problem-solver, and mom of two young kids. These days, my adventures look a little different than they used to, but I've always been someone who enjoys staying active, learning new things, and finding creative solutions to challenges.
Whether it was softball, soccer, golf, or just about any other sport someone invited me to play, I've always loved competition, teamwork, and the thrill of figuring things out. That same mindset has shaped my career as a designer and marketer for more than 20 years.
When I'm not working or keeping up with my kids, you'll usually find me exploring new creative techniques, diving into digital marketing trends, or geeking out over data and consumer behavior. I've always been fascinated by the balance between creativity and strategy, understanding not just what looks good, but why it works.
Throughout my career, I've designed everything from brands, websites, packaging, and apparel to large-scale trade show booths and information systems. My experience spans branding, print, web design (Shopify and WordPress), digital marketing, and experiential design, giving me a unique perspective on how all the pieces fit together.
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to understand people, solve problems, and create work that connects with the right audience. Great design isn't just about aesthetics, it's about creating experiences that are meaningful, memorable, and effective.
